Manory's Restaurant Reviews

Awesome diner! Amazing menu with inventive pancakes - kids loved the Elvis pancake with banana, PBJ, and bacon. LOVED IT! eggs, waffles BACON and home fries were done perfectly! Definitely a must eat for breakfast. Would have loved to come again for lunch. Great for the WHOLE family!

Loved everything about this place. Food, coffee, service and atmosphere. Good time. A

Had breakfast there one morning while taking a break from working had breakfast nachos they were out of this world. Outstanding would highly recommend this place for breakfast. Planning on going back soon.

I don't have much to say that's negative. Very busy for Saturday lunch but we were seated within 10 minutes. Food tasted great and service was really spot on. Everyone was hustling and tables were flipped constantly. Portions were decently sized and overall I was happy.

Went here for breakfast last weekend. I really liked the interior, very old fashioned and cozy. I got the butterbeer latte and the blt benedict, and my husband had pancakes. Our server was friendly and everything came out quickly. And the food was delicious. I can see why this is the oldest restaurant in Troy, what a good breakfast place!

This is my go-to breakfast place in Troy . Staff is very attentive and the food is excellent. Great value for your money! Parking is on the street. Plan a wait because this restaurant is very popular.

Food is amazing every time. Everything is super fresh. Staff are young college students and mostly friendly. Park in the municipal lot on Congress.

This place is pure magic! My friend and I stood outside as soon as it opened, and the line was already stretching around the side of the restaurant. Within minutes of the doors unlocking, the place was packed--buzzing with energy, laughter, and the clinking of dishes. And it's no surprise why: everything about this spot is incredible! The menu felt like a work of art--carefully curated with an attention to detail you can taste in every bite. Each dish was methodically crafted, and the aromas alone were enough to transport us to culinary heaven. From the first sip of the Bloody Mary, which was vibrant, rich, and practically alive, to the coffees that were more than just drinks--they were miniature masterpieces, decorated so beautifully they felt like Christmas trees on the Fourth of July. This restaurant doesn't just serve food--it serves an experience. Every plate, every cup, every aroma felt like a moment of art in motion. It's a place where the boundaries between food and storytelling blur, delivering more than just a meal but a sensory adventure. If you appreciate flavors that sing and coffee that inspires, run (don't walk) to this place. Absolutely worth the wait--spectacular in every sense!

As my group was enjoying breakfast here, I occasionally heard snippets of conversation from nearby tables along the lines of, "This is why they've been in business all these years," or "Of course it's good, it's Manory's." There is clearly a dedicated set of patrons here, and I can see why. They have a lot of qualities I look for in this type of restaurant. The atmosphere is casual. The staff are friendly yet very professional. The menu is varied and quite interesting, and everything comes out quickly... really quickly. Restaurant chains that specialize in breakfasts should come here and watch and learn. I had a tough time figuring out what to have, but I settled on a breakfast combo featuring their crispy hash and pancakes, in this case their banana cinnamon pancakes. Their has was the best I have had in many years, indeed crispy but also not greasy at all. All our meals came out at once. Even though it was a busy Saturday morning, there was rarely a wait for a table, and when there was, it was a short wait. These folks know what they're doing - of course they do, that's why there still in business after all these years.
Manory's Restaurant
Manory's Restaurant is a charming diner located at 99 Congress St Troy, NY 12180 United States, known for its cozy atmosphere, hearty menu, and a loyal crowd that swears by its breakfast all day. Whether you're a local or visiting Troy, this is the kind of place that feels like home the moment you step in.
Manory's Restaurant and the Heart of Troy's Dining Culture
There’s something timeless about stepping into Manory's Restaurant. It’s not just the retro charm or the wooden booths—it’s the sense of belonging that fills the air. Nestled in downtown Troy, this beloved eatery has been a part of the city’s food scene for generations. Locals drop by for pancakes at sunrise, students from nearby colleges come in for late brunch, and travelers often find themselves surprised by how comforting everything feels. The real magic? It lies in the balance between tradition and familiarity.
Unlike the flashy newcomers, Manory’s thrives on consistency. The location is easy to find, right near the main street, making it a convenient stop whether you're heading to work or exploring Troy. People often search for best breakfast spots in Troy, and this is where their hunt usually ends—with a plate of fluffy eggs and golden hash browns served just the way they remember.
The Menu at Manory’s Restaurant Speaks of Comfort and Craft
From the first glance, Manory’s menu doesn’t try to impress with trendy names or experimental combinations. Instead, it delivers what most of us truly crave: real food, made right. Buttermilk pancakes, Western omelets, corned beef hash, and Reuben sandwiches—these are not just dishes; they’re part of people’s routines, memories, and moods. You’ll also find newer additions like avocado toast and vegan scrambles, which show that while Manory’s is rooted in tradition, it’s not stuck in time.
Portions are generous, and the pricing is just right. Regulars often mention how fair the value is, especially given the freshness and attention to detail. What stands out even more is how the kitchen handles dietary preferences. Whether you're gluten-free, vegetarian, or just picky about how your eggs are cooked, the team gets it right without a fuss.
Why People Keep Coming Back to This Classic Diner
It’s not just about the food—it’s about the experience. Manory's Restaurant has built a reputation not just as a place to eat, but a place to gather. The servers remember your name. The coffee is always hot. And the vibe? It’s the kind of easygoing energy you don’t find in big chain diners. Reviews reflect this over and over again. Customers often describe their visits as “like catching up with an old friend,” and it’s easy to see why. The warmth is genuine, not manufactured.
This also makes it a favorite for small gatherings. People meet here to talk over coffee, brainstorm side projects, or celebrate a casual birthday. It’s intimate without being formal, familiar without being boring. For many, it’s not about trying something new—it’s about coming back to what they know and love.
A Place Where Food and Community Intersect
There’s something symbolic about a restaurant like Manory’s. It doesn’t chase trends, and yet it remains relevant. It doesn’t overhaul its look, and yet people of all ages continue to walk through its doors. Part of that charm lies in how seamlessly it blends into the life of Troy. The staff live in the neighborhood, the ingredients come from nearby vendors, and the customers come from just a few blocks away.
If you’re new to town, you’ll likely hear about Manory’s from a friend or passerby. It’s that kind of place—where recommendations don’t come from ads, but from conversations. And when people search for local diners with good reviews, this is often the name that surfaces with praise for both the food and the feeling it gives. In a world of fast-changing tastes and short attention spans, Manory’s holds its own with confidence and character.
Final Thoughts on a Timeless Dining Spot
In the end, what makes Manory’s Restaurant memorable isn’t just what’s on the plate—it’s how everything comes together. The location is ideal, the menu is thoughtfully curated, and the reviews speak volumes. More than just a diner, it’s a reminder that food is about connection, comfort, and community. Whether you're sitting by the window watching Troy wake up or grabbing a late lunch before heading out of town, Manory's is the kind of place that stays with you long after the last bite.
I'm not a guy who gives out 5 star reviews like stale breadcrumbs to the pigeons in Central Park. Man I enjoyed my breakfast at Manory's. Went to visit my friend and I had the eggs florentine. Which is a classic riff on eggs Benedict with spinach in lieu of Canadian bacon. Incidentally, Canadians some of the nicest people, with the worst of the bacons. They also had maybe 4 other versions? But remember a pulled pork and a chicken and waffle. Man, what a time to be alive! But that being said Manory's has been in business since 1913! That means Romain Fielding and Alice Joyce could have also enjoyed this same dish way back in opening day! (They were very famous in 1913. Google it). Place looks like it has been there forever, in a good way. A lot of charm. Staff was friendly, service was fast. Highly recommend. Will be back for that chicken and waffle Benedict next time I'm in town.
